same here, it usually flares up for a few days at a time and goes back to normal.

I'm avoiding surgery at all costs, one because I don't want to be in bed eating sugar-infused snacks all day

no, but they do make me sick, i usually eat too much sugar to compensate

That's smart if you've had prior issues with them.

I just deal with the pain. The painkillers don't stop the pain, they just make me weird and feel out of place. I have an extremely high pain tolerance (when I want to have one).
