No rain here. I did get soaked on my ride because one of the sprinklers got me on the golf course I rode through. There is this 11 mile bike path/walking path that goes through several parks and golf courses in the area.

They just "upgraded" a park down the road from me. My roommate was like "Oh look - They installed a rape trail..." It just goes off into high brush by the Trinity River. Coming soon the First 48 is what I think every time I see it.

They are about to start doing what I consider "safe expansions" to the trail system with that indoor skiing place coming soon.

Weather radar shows a rain system stretching from San Antonio to Philadelphia. Looks like it will clear out in D/FW before too much longer.

This one is very safe. And very scenic. I like it cause I don't have to worry about getting hit by a car. There are a bunch of man made lakes in several of the parks/courses. I always bring a snack and sometimes a blanket to take a break and eat and read a lil by one of the lakes before going back home.

My luck a golf ball is gonna knock me out one day though

Berg I'm not the only one though. I didn't bring a blanket today and only took a break long enough to eat a granola bar. But on my ride I saw at least 5 picnics by the lake. Some families, some couples. All with blankets and food and bikes by the lake.

A little soft voyeurism and a granola bar makes for a great lunch.

I don't wear a helmet. Before it was just my beach cruiser bike. Now I have a commuter bike I ride. I have a helmet but its not a bike one, one of those bulkier ones you wear when roller blading.

As in "a poster for a conference"... cuz I feel ya on that. Last week I was self described "pie-eyed and pixel-blind" from being on Photoshop so long.
