Meh... I'd rather swallow a treble hook.
What brand was the washer that just died on you? We just got rid of ours a couple of weeks ago that my wife that had 31 or 32 years.

It’s a Maytag bought somewhere around 1988. They found the replacement part that will breathe new life into it. Repairman says it’s a far better machine than most new models available today.

Hey Nurse. Hang in there, friend.
Joe ours were Whirlpool., She had them when we got married and they were pretty new cuz I had a set in mine were pretty new but we got rid of mine and we'll have been married 30 years in May. tough to complain about an appliance that last that long.

You maintain your cool if the doctor talks down to you during your parents visits? I've gotten into it a few times when the doesn't realize I know more than biology 101.

quote:I replaced Whirlpool with the units I have now. Walked into Maytag store and told old jooish salesman I needed a new washer/dryer. He asked me what brand I was replacing. Told him Whirlpool and he said “I’ve been thinking about carrying that line - I sell these people Maytags and I never see them again - I could use the turnaround business”.

All my dad’s doctors know I’m a nurse so they are glad I come with him to all his appointments.
And they never talk down to me, quite the opposite. They usually talk medical lingo to me cause they know I understand it.

Mr. Clean, I'm guessing those dogs are looking into a preschool play yard?

Yeah, that's good. My mom's doc didn't know me, (different city). Took a while before I got more than just a reader's digest version. Think I corrected him on a bacterium name. Makes a difference sometimes.
