Boo-oo!

And they NEED to build a Dairy Science store close to Mike's habitat so I can get ice cream more easily.

Ohio State 53,744 enrolled
LSU about 30,000 enrolled
There is no question the library needs to be expanded and upgraded. Tell Obama it is shovel ready!

The Middleton Library is garbage

I knew Middleton looks shitty, but damn these other libraries look so nice.

Replace any building that doesn't have the terra cotta roof and classic proportions. Those modern looking buildings are so quickly dated and disposed of.
Ie. Kirby Smith, graham hall, power dorm and eventually the business complex and maybe Ceba. .

Hate to be the bearer of bad news...

Redo the Long Fieldhouse. That place was a maze and a dump
Posted on 4/11/14 at 10:10 pm to TigersOfGeauxld

atleast CEBA is on the edge of campus. It is the "modern wing" Middleton needs to be knocked down and we need a new library with the classic feel

The new BEC/CEBA doesn't match at all..will look like sh~te quickly..will look like a mini Tower of Pisa/Holiday Inn Destin before most current students hit age 40.

Good pic from Speedy over on the Rant. He said this pic was taken yesterday...
You can see the new BEC and the old CEBA next door top left.

Yeah, that's what happens when you try too hard to be "modern" and "edgy". That never ages well.
I bet the architects of the library thought it looked cool in the late '50s.

damn that osu library is the shite

It'll be nice for the engineering students though. In particular, the chemical engineering department is in sore need of more facilities, which is funny considering we have two whole buildings (mostly dedicated to offices and grad student rooms). We have 2 classrooms (only 1 we really use often) and a sorely outdated lab with barely functional equipment. But hey, the computer room in the lab is shiny and new, funded by Shell or something!...
I can't wait to get bugged for alumni donations for this.

Heard that! As I said in the OP, there are 60+ construction projects in work on the LSU campus atm.
Amazing some of the buildings going up!

New projects visible around campus
Campus construction will yield a variety of new facilities for housing and research, said Roger Husser, University Facility Services director of planning, design and construction. “Currently, there are 63 projects under construction,” Husser said.

I'm guessing this is well above average for most schools around the county.
Among the many projects are expansion of Patrick F. Taylor Hall, expansion of Tiger Stadium, renovation of the French House, renovating the University Press building and converting it to Greek-ready housing, and the first two phases of the UREC expansion and redesign, and the Annie Boyd Hall renovation.
New construction includes the just-completed Animal and Food Science Laboratory Building, the two new residence halls...Cypress Hall and Magnolia Hall...A new tennis facility, a gymnastics facility , and the just-completed the Louisiana Animal Disease Diagnostic Laboratory.
Big times at LSU!
