From the way it reads, the GoFundMe was started on 4/29. The mother had a heart attack the week before ... So say 4/22. She was on life support for a few days before the decision was made to take her off ... So say 4/25. Four days later somebody started a fundraiser to help them out. It came across my Facebook a few days ago so I thought I would pass it on in case anyone else has the means and desire to help. I didn't realize that there was an expiration date to share on the OT Lounge.
My son goes to LSU and it has been his dream school - first and only choice - since he was 3 or 4 years old. Most people that I encounter through LSU seem like family and are generally pretty cool. I appreciate anyone that helps him in any way as I am sure these kids' mom would as well. If you can't help or don't want to, that's cool too. Hopefully you or your family aren't ever in a position like this but if you are I would share it to try to help you out too.
For those with positive info or help, thanks on behalf of these kids.

This situation is a sad one and I wouldn't wish it on anyone and if anyone feels the need to give then good for them, but you have to also understand why people have the reasons they do have for not wanting to donate.
Its not personal. And yes "LSU people" are like family and is "generally pretty cool", but its a big family. Just because someone is "LSU people" doesn't mean they will quickly give to every situation just because someone is linked to LSU in some way.
