what school?
the one big black hs that we had to play every year was so bad that our senior year our school wouldn't allow the band, pep squad or cheerleaders to go, I begged my parents to stay away too

McNeese tends to be very good. Nicholls, Southeastern, Southern, Grambling, etc? Not so much.

I hear you mike, but you have to agree that those fans are in the minorest of "minorities," going to be a lot of undesirables out there, admittedly our side will contribute to that contingent
There won't be any more trouble on campus than normal tomorrow. But I am very saddened to see the rumors being propagated in North Baton Rouge.
I learned about both of these concerns/rumors on Instagram today.
1. Increased Police Presence means SU fans are going to be targeted and arrested for minor infractions.
2. ID's will be checked for outstanding warrants at the gates upon entry.
Neither of these things is remotely true but that's what Social Media can do.

Southern has never beaten McNeese in 3 matchups, 2004, 2019, 2021.

I played football and ran track at Istrouma and McKinley were in our district in early 90s.
We never had an issue at those schools other than taking extra precaution on where to park the bus(inside the gates).

the school I'm talking about was as thuggy as it got back then, rumors all week about what was planned for us(incredible since this was the telegraph era,) we'd played the football game there already earlier and thank God it was cold and a torrential downpour of rain all day and night of game day so it was pretty much teams and refs, this was a basketball game, our head football coach was a huge black guy that had played for the Boston Patriots only a few years before as an offensive lineman, he was there really to watch the crowd and run interference if we had to exit quickly, we beat them and they weren't expecting that, as the buzzer sounded they swarmed the court and started kicking and punching, and swinging picks(the Nola statue kind,) coach was like Mongo out there literally fending off 5-6 guys at a time while screaming for us to get to the bus, basketball coaches helping him and one of them got to the bus and cranked it up and we hauled arse, when we got back to our school the bus looked like the Bonnie and Clyde ambush car

Fortier (in NOLA) was the only school we ever had trouble with - I think they picked our pockets on the basketball court
