It looks like crap from Nicholson. But the interior and the view from the rotunda into the quad is nice.

I only see it from the street (is that Nicholson Ext. right there?) and it looks fricking terrible. Why would they use that shite? It looks even worse than the slats on the west side of Tiger Stadium (which also looks abysmal IMO)

The new business school stuff is quite possibly the ugliest construction I've ever seen, even for LSU.

It's not that bad IMO...

Coleman and a national firm that specializes in engineering college designs.

From the inside the business school looks nice. The view from Nicholson extension isn't good IMO.

Do they have somebody on the inside or what? They did the business school too.

Who is the national firm? And are they using out of town consultants?

It looks all modern and artsy right now. I don't think it'll age well though.

I bet Middleton Library looked "cool" for its time when it was built, too. In 1958.

Everyone is getting new labs.

I just know about the ChE one. My ChE 4270 (semiconductors) professor mentioned that he might expand that class to actual lab work when the lab is built. As in, actually making things with semiconductors in class. I'm so jealous.

I'm not sure renovating Middleton is the answer. I think it not only needs to be torn down, but relocated as well. On the other side of the Parade Ground from the Union would be my preference, with a parking garage built in.

I heard a rumor that they did get engineering building as well.

Must be Perkins and Will. Very old firm. They've done work on LSU's campus before, I'm pretty sure. Maybe dating back to the 60s.

They may have. I can't remember what I heard from back last year.

And that's the national firm. Apparently they are running the show.

Where Pleasant Hall is? Doubt that happens. i suggest that we demo Lockett & reconfigure that whole area or put it on the other side of Atkinson Hall (School of Architecture) where all those warehouses/art studios are. Shift Campus Drive south a little bit and we're all good in the hood

In 2012 Louisiana State University cut the ribbon on its attractive new E. J. Ourso School of Business, which is located in the Business Education Complex. New Jersey’s ikon.5 architectural firm was responsible for the sleek design – which combines mirror glass-covered pavilions together with an attractive rotunda sporting a bronze solar screen. Such features are said to pay tribute to the historic campus.
