It is absolutely not. I have a first cousin who lives in Seattle. The first person that came up as "likely related to you: High confidence" was him. Then there are a list of people that are likely 2-6th cousins and I know a few of them who came up.. So that was accurate.

It shows that by 1775 all of my ancestors were in the US.. The majority coming from Georgia, South Carolina & Florida area and then there are spots in South Louisiana. My dad is from Georgia and my mom's people were in Louisiana. My grandpa was born in New Orleans. This was all shown before putting in my family tree.

I put my family tree in. Which included me, my parents and my mom's mother and father. When I put in my grandmother's name I got a "hint" that gave me a list of people in Louisiana with her name and I found her because it listed her siblings.. And it showed me a document from land that her parents purchased when she was 12. So unless they just guessed I was 1st cousins with someone who had their DNA done and guessed where my family game from.. then they are pretty damn good at guessing.
