I love when people call others snowflakes while melting. Because clearly the solution to somewhat manufactured outrage is more manufactured outrage.

The "U.S." in U.S. Virgin Islands stands for United States. Ergo, it's OUR country.

The Singularis owned by Jeffrey Citron who is the Chairman of Vonage. Strangely enough Citron is from New Jersey but has a condo in Florida.

I just got back from Europe, Germany primarily, on Monday, I was shocked by how many stars and bars I saw. Wasn't mad at it.

Oh really? So they can refuse the confederate flag but a bakery can't refuse a gay couple's wedding cake?

Sure, but who has more to lose? A small family bakery that gets blasted on facebook in a big liberal city, or a marina on an small island where the majority visitors are wealthy?

I don't know much about the legal system but I would imagine it's not easy to take USVI companies to court in the continental states. Good luck fighting them on their land, with their lawyers, and their judge. It's probably like fighting Disney in Lake Buena Vista.

quote:

USVI has no power, it would take one phone call from that dude with flag, and a donation to a Senator, and the USVI would be accepting of all flags.

Not necessarily, In unincorporated territories, the US constitution doesn't always apply.
