Sicily Island still a speed trap?
It was years ago when I was driving from BR to Monroe (back in my NLU college days). They would pop you if you were 2 miles over the speed limit.

Used to know the guy who was town marshal in G'town. Former deputy sheriff. My Dad said he would ticket his own mother.
My brother and I were bullshitting with him one day while he was sitting in his car, radar on. I was leaning against the rear door on the driver's side. Suddenly, that radar popped up a '57', and he said "Gotta go!". He was throwing gravel almost before I had my arse off the door.

Sicily Island is not so bad anymore but 10 miles over will get you one. The areas for 2017 is West Carroll Parish in Epps, Darnell, Pioneer, the Oak Grove Hwy 17 route. They will say they saw you swerve and pull you over for anything they can and make up anything to charge you with in this parish. Avoid the West Carroll Parish route if at all possible They try to make examples of out of town travelers in this parish for sure. Have been stopped 4 times already traveling thru here. I think they are state champions for traps at this date.
