VX-21 is the same price as a Roomba 650. What's the difference?

I just got the Neato Pet & Allergy from Costco this last weekend for $270. It's done a pretty good job of picking up all the kiddo crumbs and pet hair. My only question is that it doesn't seem to love my open downstairs floor plan. It takes 2-3 recharges to complete the area but I think a lot of that is the unit's stubborness with our kitchen chairs legs. It inches back & forth over & over again until it weaves the way through.

It's exhausting to watch it work while I sip my cocktail & eat Bon Bons.

these things are pretty damn cool and quite an invention...but as far as truly keeping your house clean, I find them adequate but not impressive...they can do some light dusting of the floor, but that is about it, IMO...

fair warning, if you have a dog inside that shits on the floor, get ready for one hell of a mess after that thing tracks it all over the house...

We have a 650. We have a black lab that sheds like crazy and it does a great job of keeping the floors clean. No complaints

I got a Neato from Hammacher Schlemmer several years ago. It broke several years later. When I sent it back to be repaired, they said they don't service it anymore, so they sent me a check for the original price. I used that to buy the Roomba. The Neato used to have service issues. I don't know if the newer versions are better.
