Sometimes they need a cooling off period. Pressing the argument makes it worse.

I don't take my time with my wife for granted and I'm not a vaginal discharge, so maybe like 3 hours.

They can cool off about that particular topic, but plain out refusing to talk to each other period is childish as frick. Basic communication even when mad at each other is key in a healthy relationship.
