Will be gone 8 days, looking for best option, with getting raked over the coals on price. For those who travel out of NO, do you just do long term parking, or is there a lot that you prefer that is less expensive?

Credit card lot. It's on site located right behind the long term parking garage. It isn't covered and a little bit further walk but not bad and will save you a few bucks.

Park N Fly

Reserve early, though. Flew out of MSY a month or so ago and everything was full. Had to park in fricking BFE. Go on their website and reserve your spot ASAP. They do a AAA discount, too, if you have that.

Yep, credit card lot located near the rental car facility. I think it’s $10-11/day and you can walk to the airport from there.

Park N Fly or USPark.net

Shuttle will drop you off at your airline ticket station.

Spend the night before at Hampton Inn on Causeway Blvd and take the shuttle. You just let them know you are flying out ahead of time and they give you something to put on dash.

I flew out the Thursday of Memorial Day weekend and got turned away at Park N Fly because I didn’t have a reservation. Went to US Park and got right in with no problem.

Interesting. I had been able to reserve last minute with Park N Fly until the trip I mentioned. They were full, so I called US Park and they told me to wait at the gate until a flight lands and someone leaves. I was not about to sit at the gate for God knows how long, so I just sucked it up and hiked.

There is a monorail stop in the AP. Just hop on it and it'll take you straight to MSY.

Hoping with the new terminal they will convert the old terminal garages to cheaper ($10ish a day) long term parking.

If park and fly and USpark are full, the credit card lot will likely be full

I drove around the CC lot for 15 minutes last time looking for a spot. Ended up getting screwed by short term for 4 days.

You might want to reserve a spot somewhere. We showed up the morning of our flight and every single lot was full. Offsit lots were only accepting cars that had reservations. We had to get family to come in short term parking to pick up the car while we were gone.

Almost missed our flight out! One of the airport workers said that has been happening more and more recently.

Just did USPark for 8 days and it was like 135 bucks. My advice is to use an Uber and part at a friend/familys house close to the airport if you are worried about saving money.
