i dated one once, mid level market, she was the talk of the town.....and she made $36,000 haha

in lower level and mid level areas its treated just like any other business. The station manager is given a budget and if he can recruit young newbies w decent talent at a low cost he figures he can switch them out every 1-2 years and thus he keeps the majority of the budget, Station Managers are the ones making the money
