What level storm are they expecting, and how much rain?
Hurricane season makes living around the gulf a Bitch. I was going to try to get a job working for a parish in Louisiana. They were happy when they heard I wanted to work for them. But between having to stay around during hurricanes and working during Mardi gras sounded terrible. Once I found out I'd also have to take a $20/hr paycut, there is no way I could do that. Especially with the cost of living so much higher vs being in Fayetteville.
I expected a paycut to get back to Nola. But not a $40k+ paycut (probably a $60k paycut with overtime). I don't want to have to live in the hood and eat ramen everyday. No wonder so many people never came back from Houston out Baton Rouge after Katrina.

I've never heard anyone say that before. Step your game up and buy Belgian. Hell, drive to NOLA and buy some Blue Frog before they close for good.

I've got 5 more hours, and Murphy's law is in effect. Nights like this are why I'm glad I'm not a contractor.
