21 deaths in training/racing since the 26th of December. I’m almost certain it’s weather related. That track is not designed to handle the rain they’ve gotten this year.
The baffert superhorse bs is nothing. They regularly run 5 horse fields there. It’s sad.

They never get this kind of rain. Track maintenance is a super complicated job. This is an even bigger deal bc they have the breeders cup this year.
Same thing happened a few years ago at Del Mar with their turf course the year they hosted. They completely redid the whole thing.

I’m still sad about the dog racing. I hope they all got good homes. Greyhounds can be great pets.

I'm doing better than I have in awhile. My bum knee isn't bothering me as bad so I've been able to go to the gym and I'm about to start cycling again. Hopefully my knee stays (relatively) healthy.
