i'm not saying there isn't a tiny almost non-existant part of me that would like to have been a mom by now.... but, mostly, i just want to be able to have this really great relationship/marriage... and if kids happen... i just hope the dad is a good disciplinarian and doesn't mind cleaning up... cause my arse is gonna be running and jumping and playing the whole time. if i have kids, i must get a trampoline and pool.

but i look 'not too shabby' in a bathing suit, take vacations when i want, wake up when i want, eat when and what i want, my schedule is mine..... and that's all pretty nice too.

eta:
i just wonder when society decided that your life as a woman is less meaningful without kids... f. that. noise.

Society decided that generations ago. It's just now, with people under 40, that people decided that having kids isn't a requirement to having a good life. Especially in the cities.

I'm honestly just glad I was smart enough to have used protection when I was young. Because a couple of those women would've made my life completely miserable.

I can think of two that I'm almost certain were trying to trap me.

And not to get to nosey, but how old are you anyway?

i mean... i worry they won't know i'm their mom or their best playmate.

i played 'pretend' pretty hard as a kid. also... i was known to dominate a monkey bar set or two...

Don't take it like that. I'm not the type to flirt on a message board. I've always thought that was kind of weird and creepy. Just curious with the topic at hand.

This is smart. I have a friend who's biological clock is ticking so loud I'm afraid she will end up settling and that's never ever a good way to start.

I hear you dominating the monkey bars

When it is your child you will do what's best for them. Take me for instance I had 2 brothers and was never around girls growing up. The thought of me changing my daughter's diaper scared me to death. The time came no big deal, now my goto to for hairstyles two options: ponytail or pigtails. frick that french braid stuff. I look back now I was a damn good dad.

i got several good breeding years left in me. i've just never been the kind of girl (even when i was really young) that thought things like, "i can't wait to be a mommy." my friends still say that shite. and don't get me wrong, i love my friends' kids... i love that they're having happy, healthy babies. i'm just not sure i'm cut out for it. plus.. i'd be on bedrest for half if not more of the pregnancy, and there's only been one guy i've dated that i'd have had kids with. so maybe just not in my cards...

Regardless of what previous generations believed, there's no single recipe for a happy life. Besides, most of the world problems are because of overpopulation. Unfortunately, like in Idiocracy, the dumbest people seem to have the most kids.

Don't fall into I have to be married by this age, have kids by this age, etc. Live life and when you good damn ready have kids with two loving parents.
