Pear cinnamon vodka mule. Really fricking good.

Made a charcuterie, some lemon Parmesan asparagus, Caesar salad, seared porterhouses and some Tres Leche cake.

Excellent night. Great company

FreeM you lose an eye, you lost a wife

but you have another and a better outlook on life

As a poet you're a failure, and yet
you fall has been poetic, like an 18 century longform poetry
A hero on a doomed quest to reclaim his dignity

you an inspiration

with thanks to MR PETER CETERA

You're the meaning in my life
You're the inspiration
You bring feeling to my life
You're the inspiration

I shall call you manator the Meh

That’s actually beautiful.

Other than the parts where you rhymes a word with the same word.

That’s awful

The City was a letdown

No not the musical. The Chicago lyrics Owlie copypasta into his fabulous poetry.

I loved Catherine Zeta Jones in Chicago.

I like some Chicago.

Nothing that rhymes words with the same words though

Well Shakespeare and many others did that sometimes. But yeah. I also prefer diverse words in rhyming poetry.

Like William Blake

quote:

Tyger Tyger, burning bright,
In the forests of the night;
What immortal hand or eye,
Could frame thy fearful symmetry?

In what distant deeps or skies.
Burnt the fire of thine eyes?
On what wings dare he aspire?
What the hand, dare seize the fire?

And what shoulder, & what art,
Could twist the sinews of thy heart?
And when thy heart began to beat,
What dread hand? & what dread feet?

What the hammer? what the chain,
In what furnace was thy brain?
What the anvil? what dread grasp,
Dare its deadly terrors clasp!

When the stars threw down their spears
And water'd heaven with their tears:
Did he smile his work to see?
Did he who made the Lamb make thee?

Tyger Tyger burning bright,
In the forests of the night:
What immortal hand or eye,
Dare frame thy fearful symmetry?

One must be very, very good to be able to rhyme a word with the same word successfully.

I can do it sometimes but it takes a proper Setup

ETA: and William Blake didn’t rhyme a word with the same word at all there.

Right. I was pointing that out.

I was a poetry nerd too. I took that fricking 7:00 am poetry class at LSU as an elective after I was done with English requirements. I enjoyed reciting.

Beautiful loser
Where you gonna fall?
When you realize
You just can't have it all

I honor your willingness to embrace the risk that is love
you are a modern day explorer, seeking the Gold and stumbling and finding yourself lost in the wilderness..

I honor you commitment to LOVE, the ultimate goal

I shall call you girl4 amor de vida

i am a beautiful loser.

Owlie, oh, owlie
how your rice sparkles so
in those crystalline blues
my heart hopes to show
that even though you’re a dork by nature
your heart is pure and a bit of a nomenclature
and one day you’ll see
that writing poems for me
is futile nonetheless for
true love has abandoned
this little red bird’s nest

I never took a poetry class.

Really I don’t quite understand how readily words and rhymes come to me. It’s not as if I study them. I mean I had the general training in the classics and some extracurricular reading...that and I read a ton. Consumed all the literature I could from a young age.

But to me...it’s just about flowing.

It should be. Sexy imagery

I’m more inclined to enjoy being creative with visual/tangible art but definitely appreciate good writing. I like making art that flows or looks like it is moving and tend to paint a lot of spirals.
