I never did much traveling through central Louisiana growing up. It was pretty much I -10 east and west and south of I-10. I did go to a mall in Alexandria once and I remember that big time running back from that area named Cecil Collins. Went Shreveport and Monroe once also.

We just finished opening a sack of oysters, mostly for duck & seafood gumbo for New Years.
Of course we snacked on some too and they were f'n delicious, fullest, saltiest that I've had in a loooong time - maybe ever.

We have a small gas pit over here and we BBQed 16 of them on the halfshell with a dab of butter and some Tony's. Those came out excellent.
We ate plenty raw as we were shucking and still came out with about a gallon of meat to cook with.

We talked about this last night. We have the worst fans in the nation. If they ain't leaving by halftime or they acting like we belong in the conversation with Clemson and Alabama still. Only problem is we just need to get rid of Coach O. so we can hire that big name. I can't even reply to the same ones that constantly gang bang each other about the O hate. I can't even reply to the MO jeaux's or the Rickdaddy's anymore. It's pointless. They want nothing more than to watch O fail and all that means is that LSU football fails too.
