I don't always hate my job fwiw. For the most part I enjoy it. Work just has not been a great place lately. We are constantly understaffed and everyone all scared about hospital closing. So just lends to a very negative working environment. I now leave work mentally and physically drained most mornings. Wasn't always like that though.

Longest was 120, the year hurricane Lili passed (2002?). We ran into February. I would have stabbed my mother with a fork if it meant that crop would have finished before it did.

Yeah but being really understaffed at my job can mean a child's care suffers. A nurse could be too busy cause she has more patients than she should and could miss a child taking a serious turn for the worse health wise.
Sadly it won't be until something really bad happens on our floor for hospital administrators to actually care that we are not staffed like we should be to safely care for people. But....stuff like this is happening at hospitals all over the country.
