I don't think people can even comprehend how horrible and fricked up a lot of those places are unless you've been there before. It's scary when we would approach a "checkpoint" that had locals with assault rifles demanding money if you want to pass. And that's not even close to being the most fricked up thing there.
Really beautiful country in many parts/ways but the constant wars and crazy locals make it such an unbearable shithole.

Speaking of go pro footage while I was snorkeling in Hawaii I took at least a couple hours of coral reef footage. I was pumped to get home and see it. Get home pull out my microSD throw it in the laptop to edit it. All gone I guess I went over it recording other shite. I was pissed. Of course I get the boat ride, the drive there,but no underwater footage. Guess I gotta go back in a few years.

Same here reb. Never been. I have been around it several times while in the military but never stopped. I would like to go to South Africa and maybe try out the surf oneday.
