They just freak me out.
Snakes, spiders, and clowns terrify me.
Had a damn clown approach me at work today.

Aspy - you need to be very careful dealing with juvenile copperheads. I've heard it both ways and both ways sound plausible - young copperheads give you a full dose of venom because they don't have the ability to control it like adults or they're programmed to give you a full shot on account of their size.

That's why I use a big shovel.
They've been so scared the just sit there.

Copperheads will freeze in place if the surface they're on has any kind of pattern to it. They trust their camouflage to a fault. That's why it's so easy to step on or sit on one.

Oh I will.....but not alone at home one night.
Clown therapy is a thing at my hospital. Clowns visit patients in the hospital. Seriously....not cool imo. Who wants to be scared when sick in the hospital.

Is it more of a get them on the shovel and launch them in a certain direction? That's my go to move.

I don't believe you

No. I set them down gently. I'm a nice person.

If you've never launched a poisonous animal off a shovel into the woods you haven't lived.
