his is great for the small mom and pop stores in those small towns
Here in Kentwood that leaves sunflower as the only grocery. Nobody likes sunflower. I feel like I need a shower every time I go in there.

Sounds like either there isn't the market to support a grocery store or a good opportunity to open one. Never been to kentwood so I have no idea

They are closing ours. It's only been open about a year and has plenty of business. The paper said 50 some odd people will be losing their jobs. So much for this great economy we keep hearing about. We are going to lose Kmart as well.

List came either from Drudge or Fox News yesterday.

Had no idea sunflower was still in existence. My great uncle used to be a if wig for sunflower back in the 80's.

It was Walmarts attempt at Dollar General and Family Dollar. In hind sight Family Dollar should have sold to them a few years ago and laughed.. Three years later they sold to Dollar Tree for half the price. Walmart was going to use them as a clearance center to clear shelf space. I guess Walmart decided to scrap the plan and expense to build out a new brand.

Actually, the fact that these Wal-Mart stores are closing indicates that the communities they serve are well off enough that they don't need the Wal-Mart?
And you are a straight up RETARD

Are you saying poor people don't keep Walmart running? Have you ever been in one?
