No. The Local Group of galaxies are coming together due to the attraction of a Super Cluster but it is not to be confused with the fact that Dark Energy is causing the rapid expansion of the Universe so that eventually galaxies with be out of view of each other. One is a short term effect due to gravity and the latter is an as yet unexplainable phenomenon that only just begun 4 billion years ago.

You mean LSU
(Their professors head the research)

Ligo used to be in Baton Rouge. But once Corporate Blvd. got Towne Center and the Gates, they had to move it to LP. So LP gets a Nobel Prize winning lab, and in return BR gets a P.F. Changs

What in the frick? LIGO is 2 two mile long interferometers set perpendicular to each other.
