Lexington Park (The Garden Home-like neighborhood)

Anyone live here? Opinions?
The homes look REALLY close together, but the prices are great for the quality of home and for new construction. Great location, and I'd imagine the values will only increase, being connected to Lexington Estates, and around UClub and Harveston. Not to mention the continued development Wompold is planning in that area.
I found a couple plans that are bigger ~1950 sq. ft. and have a yard, because they're front load instead of rear load.
Thoughts? Experiences?

"Garden home" = small home, small lot, extremely overpriced.
The garden-home buzz word branding was actually pretty clever by the realty industry.

yep. never buy one of these.
They build in cheap flood areas with RD 100% financing.
the developer maxed out the amount of homes he can pack in on shitty land, and that tells you that it isn't about quality it's about quantity. So they churn these homes out with the "style du jour"(granite, crown molding)....but in 10 years the roofs will leak, the streets will be torn up, every house will have 4 cars parked in a 2 car driveway as they are converted to section 8 rentals.

Sounds like Harveston, by what you're describing, but Harveston started out at around $339k for lowest homes, and now up to $389k in just a couple years.
It could pay off, especially being attached to Lexington, a neighborhood with homes in the $500k-$750k range.
Right?

Bump. BTW, starting prices are $239k for the smallest homes and the one I'm looking at starts at around $249k.

Alvarez's last development, Lakes at Jamestown, has done very well. Lexington Park seems to be doing really well right now and is still on the upward trend. With it being so close to the other neighborhoods you mentioned, the prices should continue to increase. Jamestown has some going in the 300's now.
With all of the other plans for development in the next 10-15 years it could end up being a good buy for you. I say go for it.
I am a Real Estate Broker that lives in Harveston just for full disclosure. I bought early on in here knowing what the future holds for the area.

I think you're specifically referring to The Villas at Jamestown, but yeah. They're getting up there in price.

Very nice - wish I had the resources to jump in when I was first looking at Harveston. It's going to be a really nice development.

why not also look in Springlake? With the price range you're in you could get a good home in there with a good size yard and still be in the area that's growing.

We've looked a lot on the Fairhill side (newer and larger homes), and we've liked a lot of them. Still checking those out. You sometimes miss out on a few amenities still (garage, water closet, gas stove, open floorplan, etc.)
