re: Leo took home the gold but you really deserve an award for that acting job

Once got out of a massive ticket (and probable jail) from cruising well over the speed limit (>40+mph over the limit) through a speed trap. I knew I was screwed so I figured I may as well try my luck out to get out of it. I noticed it was around 3:30 in the day so I channeled my best acting chops and started frantically freaking out whenever he came to my window claiming that I was in a hurry because I had just received a distressed phone call from a younger sibling who claimed to be in some form of trouble after school hours. Completely changed his demeanor and let me off the hook.

Hindsight 20/20, it was probably one of those "I don't get paid enough to deal with this potential bulshit" for the officer, but it still made a then 17 year old me feel like a badass
