Big fan of the type of shorts on #2.

The shorts on #1 are an abomination and I pray that fad dies a quick death. They look awful.

I have no problem with these

The high waist shorts and pants just look very strange & unflattering to me. But they're all over the place.

I blame Lena Dunham.

Nothing more unflattering than a fat girl in Norts. At least skinny girls look good in them

I'll play along.

quote:

1. We are in the South in general, and it is HOT. With temperatures and humidity as suffocating as they currently are, no one wants to put the time and effort into looking cute. Makeup will just sweat off, and it's not cute running down your face. Clothes will stick to you if they are actually touching you. Also, if the clothes fit snug to your body and aren't dry-fit, they will have giant sweat stains.

I agree, it is sweltering in the South during the end of the spring semester through the mid-fall semester. I also agree that sweat stains are unsightly. With that being said, is every other non-sorority girl impervious to the triple digit temperatures and sultry conditions?

How many 'normal' females do you see dressed in a plethora of unique and cute clothing on their way to class? The answer is quite a few outside of the sorostitute population. I might add that I have seldom, if ever, observed sweat stains or smeared makeup on these respectable ladies.

Are these sorority girls literally running to frickin' class? Why the hell would they be covered in sweat and have such a problem with the heat while other females don't?

No one is telling you to wear a $200 dress or some high-end ensemble to class each day. For fricks' sake, just switch things up by wearing a normal-fitting shirt and denim shorts. Personally, I think that's damn near the most attractive 'casual' look a woman can sport.

quote:

2. If we have an 8 a.m. and want to take a shower, do our makeup, fix our hair, pick out a cute outfit and arrive in time to sit down in class before roll is called, we are looking at waking up by at least 7 a.m. That is seriously pushing it, too, especially if you live off campus.
It's not even including a stop at Starbucks or Chick-fil-A. It would probably take an hour-and-a-half if we're telling the truth, and for a food stop, add another 30 minutes (those lines are ridiculous in the mornings). Let's be honest here, we all love sleep. Who wants to wake up that early just to look cute?

Stop...being...a...lazy...count. No one told you to party into the early morning hours the night before class. Welcome to everyone's dilemma in the real world.

I understand that it is a pretty length process for women to get dressed and put on make-up, but you're telling me that you can't set aside an extra 15 minutes to ensure you the appropriate amount of time to fix yourself up?

When I was a freshman I managed to wake up between 5:45-6:00, hit the gym, go back to my dorm, shower, eat breakfast, and still make it to class or work for 8:00. It's called dedication and commitment. Either you have it, or you don't.

And don't give me that bullshite about having to commute from off campus. Most sorority girls either reside in the house on campus or in an apartment near campus. Even when I had to commute from the south side of town after I moved off campus, I still managed to arrive to class on time.

Also, no one is telling you to stop at Chick-fil-A or Starbucks for breakfast. Hell, grab a bagel, an apple, etc., and you're covered for breakfast. My apologies if you're too much of a lazy arse to buy a few groceries in case of such a situation.

quote:

3. After spending that much time getting ready, we would then arrive to class to realize how uncomfortable we actually are. T-shirts and shorts are so much more comfortable. When we're comfortable, it's much easier for us to pay attention and learn rather than worrying about keeping our super cute dress in place during class. Don't you want us to actually learn something in class so that we can get a good job after we graduate? After all, we're not all just here to get our Mrs. degree.

Do you have the attention span of a frickin' goldfish? Can you really not pay attention to an instructor lecture for 50-80 minutes because of your clothes? I guess those Child and Family Studies classes are much more demanding than I originally thought.

Do women really have no alternative between dressing like a slob and dressing like they're going to a damn wedding? Because that's what these women would have you think.
