They write very few on the turf to save it and even fewer state bred races on the grass.
Over abundance of 5-10k sprints on dirt bc those will always fill.
My races usually come off the sub races or extra races.
He'll make a nice show horse one day.

Just don't let anyone overwork him.
My Dad would race his sound horses about once every two weeks. I though that was bit too much.

The fact that he won't run a lick on dirt means he gets at least a month between races usually

I was worried he was hurt. Switching leads every few steps the whole damn race and NO closing kick. Called the trainer and he said the jockey said he just would not go. Hated the ground. Said he felt like he had a lot if horse that horse just wasn't cooperating.
He does get over slop very well in the mornings so maybe we'll catch one that rains off...
