Yes. Well atleast for me I could and did. Not sure if it depends, if there are different degrees of astigmatism.

I agree with you on the best money ever spent. After having glasses and wearing contacts for 15 years it was amazing to be able to wake up in the morning and see my alarm clock without having to put glasses on.

for the people who had contacts,

was your vision better than it was with contacts in or was it just better because you no longer have to deal with contacts?

For me the vision was the same. It was just awesome not having to deal with contacts, go to the eye dr every year so they could give me more and not have to worry about buying solution.

Yes again. I woke up the next day with better vision and no more contacts. I'm telling you...do it.

I'm going to get it done regardless because as I said I'm really shitty about taking my contacts out.

Dr. wants me to go a month wearing no contacts before going in though.

Better than with contacts. I was a -2 and -2.5 with contacts and I now see 20/15. Definite life changer.

My contact abuse was so bad and my eye so misshapen that I had to go a full year without wearing contacts.

Still totally worth it.

i'm trying to decide on Lasik as well. i've had contacts for about 20 years. What are some side effects of Lasik that people have experienced?

I had been in contacts since 4th grade and would leave them in for months and months at a time.

I had a few infections because I would sleep with mine for weeks.
