His political connections are probably making sure he makes out ok on this.

Did you miss the part where Jason went through the windshield before the car hit the wall? How does that happen?

me saying wait to see the facts means i know the guy or taking up for him?
i know its a cliche phrase, but accidents do happen and for every theory that he was drunk and driving way over the speed limit, there are other theories where the situation may not have been that out of control.
not taking up for him at all. Just looking at the big picture here

Lester Earl,
You did go to school with Jason Adams. Were you still friends as of late?

It seemed possible the way you are so vehemently taking his side.
Didn't this happen on Cinco de mayo?
Chances are he was drunk and a little chubbed up

For real, just a little compassion. He could have faked it if he had to.
The day after my son was killed in a single vehicle accident, my husband and I were at his passenger's bedside. We were worried about his care knowing he was a student in college and might not have health insurance. We wanted to assure him that his needs would be taken care of. When he was ready for therapy, I drove him around and helped him make his doctor appointments. This was a very good friend of my son and we cared.
Here is this cold hearted freak acting like, no problem. He is lucky I'm not Kristi's mother!!!

Well, you would be a better source than I am. I just posted what her dad said in one of the articles. It's was a 2 line quote at the bottom of one of the articles I read today. Had to be very recent as her father said the San Diego guy asked for his blessing after her death on a Wednesday (yesterday? At her funeral? Idk as I only skimmed the article. Just remembered the dad's quote bc it snagged my heart a little.)
ETA: I also remember her dad stating that she recently moved back from San Diego. I assumed it was bc of his deployment bc it was mentioned in the same paragraph as the engagement quote but could have been reported out of context
Certainly don't want to spread untruths about a recently deceased girl. I mostly posted it responding to a post stating that Jason had a wife and kids and might be in more trouble than the accident. I didn't want anyone jumping the gun and assuming that there was something shady about them being together that night. This IS the OT.

It's possible that she was not yet engaged, but the guy planned to ask her in the future.

The guy clearly asked permission to marry but who knows what that means. Maybe it was just a gesture to make them feel good.
Maybe he thought they were something they weren't.
Maybe he wants a piece of the settlement
