$1500/month

Is that paid out for 9 months or 10?

Well, unfortunately the teachers with the most power and the loudest voices are saying and voting the opposite

It’s sucks, but that’s what’s happening

Again, I am talking about Lafayette private schools. AES in particular.

Man it's hard to justify $15,000 for elementary school when there are some pretty good elementary/middle schools in Lafayette.

I can see that. We are happy. They were literally up and virtual before any other school in the city. I also have my fair share is criticisms too.

AES high school is going back face to face. From what I remember they're going to try to limit the amount of kids per class and mandate masks, but I dont think they're doing an AB day deal.

If you have that kind of money, put it in a college fund. Unless you are in a horrible district, that is a lot of money to teach an elementary kid. All that money would be better spent at a good college.

Yeh. Our school here said they are going back and staying fully open unless the state comes in and literally forces their doors shut

I feel sorry for inner city kids in shitty home environments. Their one chance for escape for those who actually like to learn and try and better themselves is now ripped away as well

I'm sending my spawn to public school. Made sure to consider public schools when deciding on where to live. There are good options for public schools. I wouldn't send my kid to Acadiana, Comeaux, Carencro, or Northside. Southside is TBD. Lots of Youngsville and Broussard trash there.

Comeaux high school is the reason we put our kids in Pius 8 years ago. Now we are zoned for southside and the new charter high school is viewable from my back yard. Oh well.

We chose where to live on that logic also, but then learned about the incompetence of Laffy school board (Chaisson specifically). We have been re-zoned twice and apparently they are looking at a third so they can have an even distribution of ‘resources.’ Go ahead and ask me about my home value since considering where to live based on public schools..

My daughter finished Pius over a year ago and was there from 1st grade. Worth every penny. My son is at Milton (fake address) because of the stupid rezoning shite and he is not private school material
