Problem is this isn’t the reason for the law and all the “officer safety” is just a wives tale. It’s a secondary law on the books to be able to get money when needed in the way of a “safety stop” or a reason to pull someone over if they haven’t given them a reason. Nothing to do officer safety not operating safety. Just BS excuses. Same with inspection stickers. They are BS money grab. Just add that 20 to my registration renewal because you need the revenue or just outright say it’s for parishes to generate money and quit Hiding behind safety.
