Health care crisis finally hits home.

My GP has gone "concierge". Going MDVIP. I haven't called yet, but got my letter. I'm looking at $1500 enrollment fee and they still file on insurance. So still co-pays. I like the guy, but really see him twice a year unless I need him for earaches and sinusitis etc.

I am an ER nurse in the area, but only working nearby recently. I've worked all over Houston. And mainly deal with Internal Medicine Hospitalists. I'm not interested in any of the docs I deal directly with. Being hospitalists they are all swamped, and their office staff usually sound near tears. Just wanted any first hand recommendations here in Katy.

All I ask from a doc is a clean office, ease of appointment, and a guy who can at least appear that he gives a damn. Not much.

Well if you are looking for only a guy, I can't help you. But, my wife and I have been going to Cinco Family Medicine for a while now and love it. Dr. Foster is a female though. Her office is currently in Cinco by LaCenterra but she will be opening up her new office soon near the big Costco off of i-10 and 99.

That's Amy Foster?

I've heard the name a bunch. Easy to get in to see her or 90 minute wait for an appointment you made a week prior?

Yep... Amy Foster. And if I remember correct, it was a little "difficult" to get in initially; but once you are a regular, it's easy as can be as far as appointments and such. The only draw back is her lab lady....she isn't very good. lol
