Just saw strangest thing(s) in the sky!?!

(Yeah, I know but not fireworks). Flying in the sky, due south, (Mandeville), orange glowing, shimmering, pretty slow moving./.;
Just saw five more flying by. Spread out pretty well but still in the same area. HArd to say but pretty low relatively speaking.
WTF?
ETA: no noise whatsoever.

It's Chinese lanterns. They were flying over my neighborhood too.

Posting more because they looked so weird compared to anything you usually see and if anyone read/heard about anything that would explain it.
