Construction is booming damn near everywhere these days. I've got room for up to five superintendents and pay them six figures if they were worth a shite.

Been there. Will make you tougher. 2008 changed my life and put me on a completely different career path. Glad it did too

It doesn't matter. I got 3 little ones to support. I'm former pipeline so I don't mind busting my arse for 12+ hours a day. I have a bachelors in history and I'm a quick learner in just about anything.

As in walking the streets in search of a job? Yes, but not in the form you are insinuating. Hey Tiger.

that totally sucks, man...happened to me once before and I think the worst part about it is just the feeling of rejection...worked out for the better for me, but it sure felt shitty at the time.

ms and la are doing pretty well, you should be able to find something if you look hard enough...

Company needed a 33% reduction in workforce due to reduced work load. cut everyone who by seniority who hasn't been with the company at least two years. No severance package or anything. Figured this was coming, but still hits you when it does. Not oil field, but the company does deal with some oil and gas drilling products. My plant was more in the mining wear part industry.

Oh well, time to hit the job hunting trail again. Anyone know of places hiring. Willing to relocate anywhere between Oklahama and Texas to the east coast. Doesn't matter.

Very sorry to hear this news

At least it wasn't performance based

You'll be fine, you will look back on this in 10 years and say, wow that was blessing!

What kinda tint should I put on my 300?

Ugh, we get it

How about work your arse, get humbled, wear a condom and learn a lot about a little rather than the opposite?

Nah Tiger. I'd tell you if I were, but I'm not. I wasn't even sure what bmb meant, looked it up online . I thought it meant "bebo me back" because I found that.
