My son-in-law’s family are dentists in Europe. You should hear what a racket the Invisline Braces are there.
And those Europeans dentists love selling them because American companies know how to market, and they pay great commissions for a minimal amount of work.

3 kids got braces in ~ 2003, 2006, 2011.
Cost was ~ $3,800, $4100, $4600 for standard metal braces with no complications.
Fortunately, my dental insurance covered first $1,500. Still paid $8K out of pocket plus copays on appointments.
