From everything out there I'm starting to think he was just going to sleep off the arse kicking and his manager got into his ear about making him the face of a movement.
-his manager is the one who claimed he heard "this is MAGA country" over the phone
-his manager is the one who insisted on calling the police
-his manager says he's "financially dependent" on Jussie thus giving him a lot to gain if they pulled off the hoax

Their objective to passing the idiotic bill isn't to stop the rampant cases of racist lynchings. Their objective is to present the bill so that they and the liberal media can label anybody that opposes the bill as racist.
