I still don’t get why they didn’t eventually have to take it. Makes zero sense.

has Tulane been slacking to Loyola over the last few years

At least when I was at Tulane, students who had actually gone the civil law route (versus common law) passed the Louisiana Bar Exam. Two reasons: 1) these were mostly Louisiana kids who could have gone to other ranked schools but stayed close to home (Tulane was top-20 when I applied and steadily declined in rankings, which are mostly bunk), and 2) they actually learned Louisiana property law, successions and obligations.

Conversely, the lower rate is attributable to: 1) carpet baggers and affirmative action students (the Dean of Admission looked me in the eye in 1997 and told me that TLS’s ranking could be higher if they weren’t committed to “diversity) who couldn’t get into higher ranked schools, and 2) students who fell in love with and/or had job offers in Louisiana after having chosen the common law track. These people couldn’t pronounce Athanassious Yiannopoulos and had no idea that Max Nathan had ruined the law of successions (Yippie joke).

Don’t get me wrong, I haven’t given Tulane Law a penny since graduation. F them.
