The first hour of the podcast I was siding with Hancock and Carlson. But as the show went on it became evident what Shermer was saying.
Shermer isn't denying the possibility of an impact, flood, whatever. He was simply ing saying that much work is left to be done to confirm these events.
BUT MOST IMPORTANTLY, he was saying you can't go from a possible impact and a new archeological site (Golbecki Tepi, sp?) to the fantastical story that there was an ancient civilization that was destroyed and sent emissaries around the world on ships to preserve civilization and warn of future cataclysmic events. That's where Hancock's story turns wonky. He is great at taking a bunch of facts and then mixing in some speculation and arguing that is also fact. Then complaining that scientists aren't listening to him.
I side with Shermer, but I would like to hear from those like Thine Prepared Ani on the evidence of a lost civilization

Hancock really owned the first 2.5 hrs of that podcast. Hancock is incredibly fricking smart. NO MATTER the subject, I mean whatever was brought up Hancock knew it and knew it well. He could quote writings, studies, anything they threw at him he knew.
Saying that Hancock would never drop his butthurt over Shermer and his phone/a/friend douchebag expert attacking him.
Shermer was very humble and even told his phone a friend that they were wrong in mispresenting him. Hancock came across as an ungrateful prick.

Yeah I have about 45 minutes left.
Carlson came out completely fine.
Hancock really made some great, great headway in this interview but I'm worried he sounded a little too thin-skinned in some areas.
