That’s because you don’t understand what working out means

Yeah I can’t imagine what could go wrong with opening a place where everyone goes in and expels deep breathes while others breathe it in during a wide spread lung virus.
Then don’t go.
Do you sit in line with the mouth breathers at Walmart and home depot then use the same scanner they used? And the person before that?
It’s the same thing. Open up the gyms so the healthy people can stay healthy.

Look at total test done. Louisiana has tested over 200k people. NONE of those states are close to that.

Not all of Louisiana is a hot spot like NOLA. There are areas that can be reopened. You don’t apply the same rules to NYC as you do rural Oklahoma nor do you apply the rules for NOLA like you would South Baton Rouge. Let the business owners and consumer decide what is safe for them and provides the least amount of risk. It’s just common sense, which government has very little.

So you think picking up litter, helping the neighbors (whatever that means), doing sit ups and pushups, etc has the same effect as working out at a gym with weights and machines?
I am in the best shape I have ever been in right now. Kayaking, walking the beach, hiking, riding bikes, etc. And it has been way more fun than going to a gym.
ETA: it's ok to admit that "going to the gym" is an addiction for some.

I like going to the gym but Picayuner is right.
Herschel Walker just did/does push-ups and sit-ups at home during TV commercials and was/is jacked af, won a Heisman was the highest paid player in the USFL and had hall of fame NFL career.
The dude is 58 and is phenomenal condition. Just go to his twitter, he's got loads of videos of him working out at home during quarantine. The OG HW doesn't need a gym. He's doing duck walks, body weight squats, exercise bike,
Herschel says you don't need a gym to work out, just like Picayuner says, and put out some great exercise instructionals on twitter for covid. Herschel is amazing, his philosophy, work ethic, a modern day Bruce Lee.

You’re a female.... I doubt your goal is to add muscle mass

Or a hobby. Or it’s healthy. Or some people don’t live in the same type of area you do.

I have a six pack and can do press handstands, something I doubt you can do.
I am being playful. I do understand what you are saying, but a lot can be accomplished at home, in terms of health and fitness.

Ok, frick off with this statement. Are your wine down Wednesday’s with the girls an addiction that needs to be cured? The platter of cookies you baked and watched an entire season of friends?

Wow, you clearly know nothing about me. I am the antithesis of a female. I don't do "girl's nights", the females on here hate me bc I think make-up talk is boring, and I certainly don't watch stupid shows like "Friends".
I lived in a gymnastics gym from ages 11-17. Everyday, for hours. But I didn't do it to "be in shape". I did it because I loved the sport. Working out for the sake of working out? No thanks.
ETA: I don't bake.

I don’t get the people that hate on others for wanting to go to the gym.

That’s total cases not active cases.
We most likely have less than 9000 actives cases in Louisiana.

It’s not for the sake of working out
You and your six pack should understand

You’re taking it way too literally and personally. Gymnastics for you, maybe shopping, whatever it may be. Someone above already mentioned that it’s a hobby, a form of entertainment, a healthy outlet.
I think you can classify a LOT of things you do in regular life an addiction. Now, the same can be said of your gymnastics career which took up much more time than any “addicted” gym bro’s.
