Most of the parades pass in front of the house this year, you will always have a place to pee Net (this is more for mrs. Net as I know you piss in the streets) ... We will also still have the hotel rooms at the usual spot ... It's going to be a party, baw

I'm too old to go to a bunch of parades and I don't feel like fighting a crowd. I do plan on going to the Endymion ball. That's about it.

No date. I go with a couple of friends that I only see a few times of year. One is extremely well off so he basically pays for the entire trip. It's hard to pass up.

I would take New Year's Eve a million times out of a million over Mardi Gras. I don't drink and raucous sloppy drunken giant crowds partying doesn't do it for me.
I like the anticipation for NYE. It's around the time you wrap up the holidays and get together with family/friends to ring in a new year.
