We'd save a lot of money on testing if we didn't have to do it
Of course you would. Legislating behavior is always a losing proposition for government. They make some money from incarceration, but the money generated from legalization dwarfs that. Prohibition is the guiding light. Certain people will be frick ups, it is just how it is. Some people will be responsible and go to work.

I doubt the DOT stops requiring drug tests any time soon, though.

Yeah even if it's legal everywhere that's a whole different ball game

Hate to be serious in a weed thread, but if you think the idea of saving money in government will expedite the legalization of pot then you're pretty naive.
The drug testing lobby is a pretty powerful one in Washington and the bureaucrats who condemn drug use at OSHA make a living off this shite. It's gonna take a lot more than common sense to change drug policy in this country.

If you want to party, do coke and booze. Don't you dare smoke a joint and then go to work 2 days later.

new numbers from US Health and Human Services seals the deal.
Don't ever believe numbers generated by the federal gov't. They have a vested interest in continuing the war on drugs. They love imprisoning people for plants.

The new 2013-2014 report of the National Survey on Drug Use and Health shows that Colorado is now 1st in the nation for past month use of marijuana amongst 12 – 17 year olds. In the previous 2012-2013 report they were 3rd, in 2011-2012 they were fourth.
They legalized pot in 2014 and rocketed up the youth drug rankings from 3rd to 1st?!?!?
I don't know how it is where you live, but as the parent of two high school aged kids in Bham, Al, it'd be easier to find kids that have smoked pot versus ones that haven't. It's been that way for a while now.

Labs are also finding an obscene amount of pesticides in Colorado's marijuana. Stoners aren't the smartest bulbs in the pack.
It's also on the lettuce you buy at walmart.

No I smoke when I'm home for the night. I do not advocate driving on the stuff

I agree, it takes forever to get places going 7 MPH

I bet most blue collar workers will always be tested
Hopefully (for my sake) companies ease up on testing professionals
