I don’t think so. Normally pts with dry socket report pain 10/10 and nothing really alleviates the pain. It is probably just post op pain. Was it a quick easy extraction or did it take some time to get it out? The longer it takes to get out the more post op pain you could have.

same here. horrible. dentist was a family friend, came out at 5AM to give me percocet to sleep until we could get to his practice later that AM.

I've heard that bottom sockets are more prone to dryness.

Maybe ten years ago. You may get 7-8 Norcos today.

Yes, go get it lanced, injected with antibiotics and lidocaine, and it will be better.
