Nerd response: it looked like as the signal was cutting off that the objects moving around created compression artifacts. Would make sense because the non moving background part of the image does not have to be refreshed as quickly. At the very end even some other objects start to distort.

Besides I disagree with your assertion, On closer look it's not just the 3. If you look at the foreground objects in the right corner you can tell they blur out at the same time.

You have no idea the nerdfest that NASA is.
My bet is that whomever did the editing of this video is a huge StarTrek nerd and wanted to make it appear that the astronauts teleported away when after saying good by.

Why would they fake this you ask? How about a $20biliion a year budget, and the only authority on space.
We can’t get clear video from only 400 miles, but we get high resolution from a Mars rover hundreds of millions miles away, sure.
