Beyond that, I don't think there's an answer.
Most shops won't delete anymore, and deleting it will no doubt void any warranty he has.

Messing with gear ratios can help on the bottom end but you'll pay for it on the top end. That, and I don't know what all kits are even available for those. Engine-wise, there's not much. It's a small efficiency engine, not a performance one.

Fun fact. Look up Banks Power on YouTube. S10 land speed record. They tested a square body S10 at the salt flats with full bed cover, and half on front and half back. The half back was the least drag. The body of the truck may have been the only stock parts.
