Is the Baton Rouge scammer back at it?

A man came up to me at Perkins Rowe on a bike just now and said he was staying in town for business but was 8 dollars short of being able to pay his hotel bill. First time I've heard this excuse. No way that's legit right?

From out of town, here on business, staying in a hotel but riding a bike. Sounds legit.

This post reminded me of the time my company downsized company cars. The gal running fleet purchasing called to tell me it was time for me to order a new one. When I found what it was going to be. I made a comment to her that pretty soon we would be riding Schwinns. Later, my boss called and told our VP was not happy with comments like that. Found out later the fleet purchasing gal was banging the VP !
