Is that construction on I10 W heading into Slidell still going on?

Travelling to Destin next weekend and figuring some pickup / dropoff info. Returning on Sunday. Was coming back from OB, AL a couple Sundays back and got caught in that shite for 1.5 hours.
Google maps currently shows the area to be backed up, but does not confirm whether it is due to that ongoing constrruction.
If its not over, when will they finish?

So its reasonable to expect it will be in play next Sunday.
Wonderful. Do these ppl (our government) not understand that it is the season to go to and from the beach, and they are clogging up the only corridor?

Dafuq? Why not take HWY 90? We did that today and it added about 20 min

Saturday is the worst day since most rentals are Sat - Sat. Sunday sucks too.
Use the alternate routes through slidell into mississippi and also at the mobile tunnel. Took me 6.5 hours to get to destin from mandeville sitting through the traffic and 4.75 hours coming home using alternate routes.

Yea its hwy 42 I think, look at map. You get on 42 before right before you get to the bay coming from destin. Stay on 42 and it runs alongside the elevated I10 and it crosses under and to the north where you'll go over a bridge instead of thru the tunnel if you were on I10. It spits you back onto I10 just east of the tunnel, it will save you a LOT of time.
