You cannot honestly think the Internet has not played a role in spreading terrorism. You can't be that blind.
The Internet is only their biggest tool to get out their message and recruit new idiots to their ranks. And on top of that they use the Internet to coordinate and encourage attacks as well. Next to AK's and suicide vests, it's probably their most important tool.
