The problem with Texas is that it is a no fault state unless you have a 3rd party witness.
Hopefully they don't try to screw us, if so, I guess we will need to get a lawyer. I need to get the police report to see what the other guy told them.

The insurance company is totalling the car. We are waiting to see how much they are going to screw us...I mean give us in payment.
Thankfully there are a few witnesses that gave statements to the police that the guy ran a red light. Unfortunately I spoke with a law office today and they said that since there were no injuries, there wasn't much they could do legal wise.
Essentially nothing will happen to a guy, his work, or insurance for almost killing my family, we lost a great car, the hassle of dealing with it all, and probably having to come out of pocket to get a decent replacement with these high car prices.
Rant over, back to the grind. I am very thankful that none of my family were hurt. I make sure to hug them even tighter now.

That’s the spirit! Get yourself back in the game as soon as possible, because your Highlander is fricked.

With no injuries what in the frick were you expecting?

That depends. Is your dad a television repairman? Does he have a righteous set of tools? He can fix it.

Well, we had a perfectly good paid off vehicle that we can't replace without forking over more cash because some frick was careless and almost killed my family. I would like proper restitution. It was pure luck that no one was seriously injured.
