Hit the parasol around 3 to 4pm you can still see some of that.

Understatement. Using the term "Irish Channel" when describing something like shoes or a bike meant that item was trashy.
yeah it's really cleaned up. The south and east areas have had the most change, the further north and west in the hood was always a little better all around.

GPs lived in the North West corner when I was a kid in the 80s-90s when I stayed there and it was worse, but the entire city was. Wasn't THAT bad like some make it sound.

Now you can't turn around without being run over by a "vintage" bicycle or trip over some ironic guy with well manicured facial hair and black square glasses frames, even though he might not even need to wear glasses.
not being hyperbolic at all.....

Miss that neighborhood in its early Post-K days circa 2007-2009. Was fun before the generic hipster invasion. Mostly yats, gun hippies, some yuppie types, and fun (non activist) college kids.

Oh man the good ol' days, you sound like an expert... you mind if I bookmark this post so I can refer back when I need expert advice on the hood T-Bruh??

Didn't even realize they had interactive maps in 1880. So, yeah, very cool.

Not at all! Yes sir! They were glorious. You could even avoid easily butthurt OPs on TD back then! Great times.
Super interesting post by by the way:
"People lived in a city 137 years before other people did! In the same areas, even!"
Mindblowing!

bet she is

This is some cool shite. I'm a nerd at heart and can tell this took a lot of work and dedication.

Having family from the neighborhood from way back and now me living here again for the second time has made it that much more interesting to me.

Tell her when she comes back to town to survey the neighborhood that Supersaint has lunch!
